I love my NK surf ski kayak. Looking for a balance between weight, speed, reliability and stability I chose the carbonX SQUALL 580. The perfect combination for the sea and full water rivers. The open cockpit of the surf ski gives me confidence in the sea and even in big waves I can always climb on it. The Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Finland is not warm Spain with strong long waves, but even here you can easily catch a wave and enjoy surfing. The kayak is incredibly durable and has travelled with me on the roof of my car for over 5k kilometres in strong winds. It is worth the money. From the first test drive I knew that this boat was for me. I have a Squall 540 and I have only words of praise: a really comfortable ergonomic seat, a good balance between speed and stability, responsive in waves. Quick and easy change of rudders and footplate settings when needed. The nose of the boat does not pick up leaves or water plants when paddling on rivers. A really good boat all round, designed to sail in all conditions.
